Our course is designed to give you a high quality learning experience, allowing you to develop and refine your skills in the trade before you qualify. The course is spread out over ten months, giving you time between contact hours where you can study, practice and implement what you learn.

Course Overview: What will you study?
Course Tutor: Tom Davies
Tom is a knowledgeable and experienced fitness expert with a passion for health, fitness and wellbeing. He has been working in health and fitness education since 2010 as a lecturer and trainer in both further and higher education. For over ten years he has trained Personal Trainers to work in the leisure industry as health professionals. This includes developing their ability to motivate, persuade and influence their clients to take responsibility for their own health and engage in healthy habits.
He has volunteered with community based GP Referral schemes that target the obese population. These schemes offer training, support and dietary advice to improve fitness, reduce weight and enhance health. Tom now works as a Personal Trainer and Rehab Coach at the 'Movement and Therapy Clinic' based in Ampthill. There he provides one-to-one and small group training to clients who have a range of health and fitness needs.

Coach clients - one to one and in small groups - towards their health and fitness goals. You will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to plan and deliver creative and personalised exercise programmes, provide nutritional advice and support clients with their overall lifestyle management.

Your qualification provides entry to the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA)
How will the course be taught?

Theory content is taught face to face, allowing you to interact with the teacher and explore the content in person

You will also have access to an online classroom which provides 24/7 access to the materials that are used on the course

Practical content is taught in a private gym giving you the space to build confidence and work collaboratively
When does the course take place?

The course is delivered over 10 months (January 2024 - November 2024)

One weekend of each month is spent in a face to face private gym setting

All days start at 12:30 and finish at 17:30 (Saturday and Sunday)

The full cost of the course is £1,499. A minimum deposit of £599 secures your place on the course.

You are entitled to one attempt at the exam (Re-sits cost £25)
What happens if I miss a lesson?

Course content will be available to watch via an online classroom

You will be booked into a private one-to-one tutorial to catch up with missed content

A minimum of 1 hour is required for a missed day of the course (£50 / hour)
